I have always loved animals from a very young age, especially dogs. I have two family Labradors called Boo and Buddy who have such quirky personalities and so much love to give. The most meaningful and special aspect of my work is helping all the doggies have a positive grooming experience. Seeing the floofs bounding in with wagging tails so pleased to see me always puts a smile on my face. I love all aspects of dog grooming but naturally I have a soft spot for labradors and also golden retrievers! However, there’s also something so heartwarming about cuddle with a fluffy teddy bear. The most rewarding part for me, is building a bond with each dog and meeting rescue dogs at the beginning of their journey and watching them blossom and grow over time.

Rosie

From as young as five, I’ve cherished my own pups, Snowie and Daisy. The experience of becoming best friends with them and growing up together will always be a special one. When it came to entering the world of work, it seemed like an obvious career choice to combine my adoration for animals with my caring nature which, combined with my understanding of the industry in desperate need of a new approach, led to dog grooming. As an adult, I now have my two furry companions Eric and Arthur who bring so much joy with their quirky personalities.

I am so proud of the dog grooming spa I have created with my incredible team. I will be forever grateful to do what I love every day and help the floofs enjoy their pampers.

A huge part of my life has been centred around my animals and I am so grateful to work with dogs every day. I have a little dog called Chester who is my whole world and companion. He is a border terrier x cocker spaniel. I also have some tiny companions in my mini herd of Guinea Pigs. Dog Grooming is such a rewarding industry for me; each day I get to build a bond with each individual dog and help their confidence grow. I have a soft spot for the gentle giants and nearly small bears, particularly German Shepherds.

Why Rosie created Pawfectly

After seeing my own pets come back from the groomers upset, distressed, not quite right, or sometimes even injured, I couldnt allow it to continue and felt it was time for change. I realised i was not the only dog parent with these concerns and wanted to create a safe haven for doggies to have their grooms. Somewhere that wasnt a conveyabelt like other dog groomers where my dogs were just a number in the books. Or where they were just pushed through and forced to have areas of their groom done that were especially challenging for them. I knew I wasn’t going to revolutionise the dog grooming industry overnight. However, I was determind to make a difference in the industry.

So the challenge began! After completing what I feel should be the required training in this industry, the next hurdle was finding the perfect location and cutting edge equipment to cater for every dogs needs. I fell in love with the spa in Christchurch because it is so light and airy – the huge front window allows for all clients, both two and four legged, to watch the world go by. When I was then so fortunate as to be able to expand Pawfectly in Poole, it was cruicial to me that the second location also had such wonderful features.

After meeting so many dogs with behavioural concerns towards dog grooming as a result of uncaring treatment and negative experiences at prior groomers, and rehabilitating these dogs to understand grooming was not such a bad thing, I knew more dogs needed help.  Pawfectly has now blossomed into the multi award winning spa that it is today and I have had the honour of branching out into more specialised services with my extensive knowledge and understanding

I am so thankful to now have two spas where myself and the wonderful Pawfectly team can help our furry friends each and every day.
